What is a knit-along or crochet-along?

Also referred to as a KAL or CAL, a knit-along/crochet-along is an open forum, where you can learn simple new skills to add to your knitting/crochet repertoire and you get to meet new people as well! There is no cost or sign-up, you just show up on the KAL/CAL dates listed that you are interested in!

Below are examples of what we did together as knit-alongs this past spring.  For the summer, we are doing the Idaho Tour and for more information on it, check out the link to our Ravelry thread!

Spring Knit-along - we will be finding our fades this spring with the Find Your Fade Shawl knit-along!

The Find Your Fade knit-along will meet on Wednesdays from 2-4pm, starting on March 8th and ending on May 31st! This is a larger shawl and so we want you to enjoy the project and thus we have allotted three months to get it completed! We have a variety of speckles, variegated, solids and tonals to create the perfect Fade! Bring in your half skeins and we can fill in the gaps or we can help create a new set in your favorite colors! We look forward to seeing all the Fades!

April and May Knit-along

We a will be knitting Goldfish Memory which is a parallelogram shaped shawl that has 12 sections that showcases different stitches, so its like a stitch sampler! The shawl takes 3 skeins of fingering weight yarn that the designer, Casapinka, recommends choosing a light one, a bold one and one in between! Casapinka shares that the name of the shawl comes from the urban legend that a goldfish has a memory or attention span of about 3 seconds, or the time it takes to swim around the bowl. Heehee! Join us on Fridays from 2-4pm throughout April and May!
